Do you take my insurance?
Optometry is unique in that we accept vision and medical insurance. We are always adding insurance plans to our list of plans we accept. Click on the Insurance Menu option at the top of the page to see the Insurances we currently accept. Check back often if you don’t see your insurance plan.
Will the office use my vision or medical insurance plan for my appointment?
The purpose of the exam will always drive which insurance will be used. If you are coming in for a comprehensive exam and have vision insurance that we accept (pending eligibility at the time of your exam), then most times, it will be used. If during the course of the exam, Dr. Swindell finds any medical issues as a result of your visual or ocular complaints, you will be made aware and the options for billing will be presented so that there are no surprises.
What services am I eligible for through my insurance?
It is the patient’s responsibility to find out from their insurance plan what is covered. As a courtesy, prior to an appointment, each patient’s insurance information will be verified for eligibility and breakdown of materials covered. We always try our best to let you know at least 24 hours in advance if there are any issues we foresee arising from your coverage.
Do you take patients with no insurance?
Of course! Please call to find out our fees, which depend on what the purpose of your visit.
How can I make an appointment?
We have 3 easy ways to make an appointment:
- Online by clicking on the “Schedule Now” or “Schedule An Appointment” links on our website
- By telephone (Call 610-738-1494)
- In person at the office
We also accept walk-ins, although a same day appointment is not always guaranteed. We highly recommend that you make an appointment well in advance of when you would like to be seen.
I do not have time/easy access to log in and fill out my pre-exam forms. Can I fill them out when I get to the office?
While filling out forms ahead of time will shorten your in office wait and exam time, we understand that this may not be feasible for everyone. Please plan to arrive to the office at least 10-15 minutes prior to your appointment time to fill out the required forms.
Will I receive a reminder for my exam?
You will receive confirmation of your exam by phone, email, or text (you can choose your preference) at the time you schedule the appointment.
